Wage-$16-17
Start date: June 28-August 27 2021
Full time 35 hours a week

Job Description (Cornwall, Williamstown, Alexandria)
The Youth Worker is responsible for assisting with and implementing the planned activities for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18. The Facilitator recognizes and accepts the need to be a positive influence who models honesty, fair play, a positive attitude, cooperation and respect for self and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and participate in program activities
Maintain a clean organized space
Supervise children and youth in the program
Complete records as required
Liaise with parents and caregivers
Assist with the promotion of the clubhouse programs and activities

KNOWLEDGE (Education)
Demonstrated superior competencies in child/youth care settings and/or working toward or completion of a college diploma or university degree in a child & youth related or recreation field
Standard First Aid and C.P.R certification
General understanding of diversity issues

SKILLS (Experience)
Experience in child & youth related field
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated leadership skills in a program instruction capacity

ABILITIES (Competencies)
Mentoring and coaching abilities
Initiative to work both independently and with a team with minimal supervision
Multilingualism an asset OTHER
Valid driver’s license is an asset
Must provide a Criminal Reference Check
