On Monday, March 3, 2014 we held our Cops & Rockers Breakfast to kick off our 10th Annual Cops & Rockers event. On Friday, May 9, 2014 the Cops & Rockers will be held at the Cornwall Armouries. Last year 740 youth from Cornwall & S.D.G. danced the night away to a Much Music Video Dance party. The youth raised an astounding $41,207 for the Boys & Girls Club of Cornwall/SDG. This helped fund a sports pad at our 506 Clubhouse.
This year we are looking at adding some new equipment and fencing to our outdoor place space.
Cops & Rockers is a great place for youth between grade 5 and 8 to come and party. The video dance adds excitement and fun, while being a safe environment. The Cornwall Community Police Service has many officers who volunteer their time to have fun and party with the youth. The armouries can accommodate up to 1,100 youth.
Donations can be made online, visit the Cops & Rockers Donation Page. Each class that participates in raising funds also benefits. A portion of the proceeds raised is donated back to the class of each child who raises funds.
This year to funders can receive one of three amazing prizes: Microsoft Surface 64GB Tablet, Nintendo WiiU, or a Canon Powershot WiFi camera.
