We are pleased to announce the release of our second book, "Confessions of the Drama Bully" today. The children of Boys & Girls Club of Cornwall/SDG took part in our "Doing the Write Thing" project.
“Doing the Write Thing is a project created by the Boys & Girls Club of Cornwall/SDG (BGC) to get kids thinking, talking and writing about bullying. Children from 6 different Boys & Girls Club After School Programs collaborated to write this book by each contributing one chapter and its accompanying illustrations. At the end of the writing process, all the authors met to vote on the title, design the cover, and celebrate their shared accomplishment.
The 51 young authors, ages 8 - 11, all chose to participate in this project for various reasons. Some identify themselves as victims of bullying and see this as a way to tell their story, some said they see bullying frequently and hope this book will help stop it while others simply love to write and love the idea of being a published author. “
